Comparison of active isolator and passive isolator

The isolator products of Nanjing palokun Technology Co., Ltd. include: active isolator and passive isolator. Many customers have many questions about the selection of these two products. Now, the following description is made for these two products.
The active isolator circuit includes a power supply part, an input part and an output part. After the signal is processed by the input circuit, it becomes a certain digital quantity or electromagnetic wave, and then it is isolated to achieve electrical isolation. The isolated digital quantity or electromagnetic wave is transformed into analog quantity by the output circuit. The working power supply of the active isolator comes from an independent power supply. The circuit converts the input power supply into multiple groups of power supplies to provide working energy to the input and output circuits. The active isolator can isolate all kinds of input signals, including voltage, current and frequency. The size of the signal can also be freely selected. As long as the signal can be processed by the input circuit, it can be input and isolated.
The output circuit of the active isolator can generate a variety of signals, such as (pa-1187) 0-10V and 4-20mA, which are proportional to the input signal and do not necessarily correspond to 1:1. In other words, it has the function of signal conversion. The input impedance of the active isolator with current input is only 50 ohms, and most current sources can be easily driven. The active isolator with current output has large load capacity, and the isolation accuracy will not be affected when the load changes.
The passive isolator circuit includes an input part and an output part. After the signal is processed by the input circuit, it becomes an electromagnetic wave, which is then electrically isolated by the isolation element. The isolated electromagnetic wave is transformed into an analog quantity by the output circuit. The circuit working energy of the passive isolator comes from the input signal end, so the input signal needs to have enough driving ability to drive it to work, and there will be a certain voltage reduction (4V) passive isolator that can isolate the DC current signal of 0-20mA. And the input and output are 1:1 corresponding. The ideal load of the passive isolator is less than 300 ohms and can reach 500 ohms. The power consumption of passive isolator is very low, less than 100 MW. It is an environmental protection and energy-saving product.
