What is surge protective device

Surge protector, also known as lightning protector, is an electronic device that provides safety protection for various electronic equipment, instruments and communication lines. When the peak current or voltage is suddenly generated in the electrical circuit or communication line due to external interference, the surge protector can conduct shunt in a very short time, so as to avoid the damage of surge to other equipment in the circuit.
Surge protective device (SPD) is applicable to the power supply system with AC 50/60hz and rated voltage of 220v/380v to protect the surge caused by indirect lightning and direct lightning or other instantaneous overvoltage. It is applicable to the requirements of surge protection in household housing, tertiary industry and industrial fields.
