This paper mainly introduces the application of proximity sensor and PM series remote IO in industrial robot.

The commonly used proximity sensors are mainly PNP proximity switches and NPN proximity switches.
The dual-channel products corresponding to our PM series are PM-16DI-P and PM-16DI-N.
Through the remote IO module, the switch signal collected on site is transmitted to PLC through industrial Ethernet (such as EtherCAT), and PLC controls the grabbing of the manipulator to realize the placement and transmission of articles.
At present, the solution has been successfully applied to the battery production line of a customer in Nanchang.
